Here at Coots at Eversden, we are the proud Owners of kennels in both Bulgaria and UK. Whilst this is considered unusual to some people, it has become a winning formula. From Bulgaria we can access more easily International Shows across Europe, competing at the highest standards to represent the Dachshund Breed. We can also sell our dogs to loving families across Europe more easily. In the UK, we are part of a large Dachshund Community. We are always working to improve the Breed Standards and ensure families invest in the most healthy, high quality pedigree dogs. Education about the breed is a big part of what we do.
In Bulgaria
The Dachshund Club of Bulgaria was established in 2023 and is a member of the Bulgarian National Federation of Cynology (BNFC).
The club aims to promote the breed with specialized exhibitions, seminars, and training of all registered dachshunds in Bulgaria. It keeps an up-to-date database of dachshunds registered in the country. As breed specialists the executive committee continue their ethos of ensuring the breed standard is maintained and that owners of the breed understand their nuances and requirements and that the continuation of driving excellence of pure bred dachshunds continues in country.
There are World and European champion dachshunds owned and bred in Bulgaria.

The President & Chairman of The Dachshund Club Bulgaria has been appointed and is our very own Marina Conrad-Evers
Marina has been a dachshund owner for over 20 years. Her FCI kennel was established in 2018 before merging and becoming the Co Owner of Coots at Eversden in April 2023. Marina’s reputation within the dachshund community has risen from strength to strength. Known for her quality long and smooth dachshunds in Standard, Miniature and Kaninchen she regularly represent Bulgaria and UK at international exhibitions.
Many of our kennel dogs are Multi country champions and our own bred dogs Multi World and European Champions and Multi Best in Show champions. Many are FCI International Champions.
Marinas aim has always been to breed the best dachshunds possible with the best line combinations adhering to the FCI breed standard.
This news is super exciting for us at Coots at Eversden. Being able to work with the National Federation and Club compliments our work to ensure Breed Standards at the highest level are maintained.
