Several dogs that participated in the Dachshund Specialty Show were also entered in the Bulgarian International Dog Show held on 20–21 September. The event was a great success, with several new Bulgarian Champions crowned at both the adult and junior levels. It was a highly competitive weekend, with many of our dogs earning places on the Best in Show podiums. Notably, our Specialty Show Best in Show winner, Katerinapark Danila, achieved Best in Show IV on Sunday. All judges at the event were Dachshund specialists, and we were proud of our strong results given the large and diverse international entry of Dachshunds from many different countries.

We are thrilled to announce the success of our club’s inaugural specialty show, which featured a remarkable entry of 57 Dachshunds. This milestone event was made even more special with a world-renowned judge known for their expertise as a Dachshund Breed Specialist.

The day was filled with excitement, as we received detailed critiques on all the dogs present from our kennel. The judge’s commendations highlighted the exceptional quality, temperament, and training of our Dachshunds.

We are proud to share that our kennel excelled at the show, claiming numerous prestigious awards.

We were proud to have four dogs representing the kennel at the recent shows, each of them conducting themselves beautifully.

For Merlin and Lewis, the trip was an adventure in itself as they travelled in the hold of the plane for the first time. They managed it wonderfully — and we’re sure they enjoyed their holiday in Finland!

The Specialty Show and the World Dog Show were very different in organisation and atmosphere, each offering new experiences and lessons. Our highlight was a BIS Podium III for Merlin and Annie — a result we are thrilled with and will cherish for years to come.

On the 5th and 6th of July, our three miniature longhaired black and tans represented the kennel at the summer night shows in Katerini, and they didn’t disappoint!

Each of them returned home as a Champion of Greece — in both adult and junior classes — and together they brought home Best Breeding Group in Show on both nights. They also impressed in the Couple Competitions, standing out among many different breeds.

We had another outstanding show featuring dogs that had never competed at a CACIB event before. Each of them made our kennel proud, and we returned home with numerous trophies. Notably, all the dogs are champions of Bulgaria, and we celebrated our milestone of achieving our 50th Best in Show podium. A special congratulations to Amber for winning Junior Best in Show All Breeds III!

Triple Header Triumph in Brno

A huge weekend for the kennel, with four dogs representing us at the triple show event in Brno:

• From Eversden Dachs Harry Potter
• From Eversden Dachs Taron Egerton
• From Eversden Dachs On Your Bike
• And our beloved veteran, Johnny – Sky Spirit Alter Ego

With classes featuring over 50 entries and more than 750 Dachshunds in total, competition was intense. But every one of our dogs rose to the occasion — all were shortlisted in the top five, with multiple class wins and reserve placements.

Double Header Weekend: Harmanli Highlights

The BNFC National Show in Harmanli, hosted by the local Kennel Club and featuring over 400 dogs.

We’re thrilled to share that, along with several Best in Show podium finishes, Merlin – From Eversden Dachs Taron Egerton – was awarded Best in Show (All Breeds). The ultimate prize, and a proud moment for the entire team.

Despite less-than-ideal weather, every dog performed with confidence and heart. We couldn’t be prouder.

This show is the one everyone watches. And our team delivered.

For many of our young hopefuls, it was their very first time in the ring — and every single one walked away with a prize. A huge achievement and a testament to their potential.

With multiple Best in Show wins, we couldn’t be prouder of the dogs, the team, and the work behind the scenes.

A brilliant weekend. A big step forward. And a reminder of why we do what we do.

This was a very important show for the kennel, the main Bulgarian Crufts qualifier and we start to showcase our junior dogs coming through for breeding notes. They didn’t disappoint at all.

Although the day started out with great weather during BIS competition the heavens opened and it was the worst rain storm ever experienced at a show but…. The kennel cleared up with all the best prizes.

We had four dogs participate in the show, and they all performed admirably despite facing tough Russian competition. This event, held on the beautiful Black Sea coast, attracted many attendees, showcasing the exceptional quality of the dogs present. Our dogs truly made the kennel proud.

The kennel had another excellent show over the 2 days in Sofia, at the International CACIBs on 1-2 June 2024. There were many BIS podiums and all dogs became CH or JR CH of BG.

At this Crufts qualification show we had 2 Crufts qualifiers. Plus Best of Group placings and BIS podiums for the best breeding groups on both days, as well as BIS couple reserve.

The Coots at Eversden kennel was once again up there with the major winners of the day. Good job dogs with many BIS and Group podiums.

Our dogs did us proud at a highly competitive show. Over 700 dachshunds attended over the course of the 3 day show. Good job boys!

It is always an important show for us when there is a Championship Shown in Bulgaria. This show was even more special as it is the first CACIB show in Bulgaria since 2021.

We always hope to do well and our Coots at Eversden girls and boys didn’t let us down! A number of the dogs became Champion and Grand Champion.

This is always a lovely show with great judges and this year it had a super atmosphere. It’s a great venue and it was so wonderful to see Bulgaria back in the International Show Scene.

On the weekend of 8-10 March all dog lovers descend to the NEC in Birmingham for the annual Crufts extravaganza.

Coots at Eversden were in attendance, we selected 4 of our dogs that had qualified. Those chosen to represent the kennel, Danny, Merlin, Johnnie and Jackie, have over 100 CACIBS between them, including Junior and Adult World Champions and so we knew we were the ones to be watched.

See our super results. We had a great time meeting existing and potential new dog owners. Whilst this was our first time at Crufts it will certainly not be our last!

The dogs first outing in 2024 did not disappoint. With many dogs showing for the very first time and in big competition they did the kennel proud with all dogs obtaining their Romanian Champion titles – Good job….

We are delighted that we have new champions in the kennel with dogs attending shows for the first time. They did not disappoint.

Eversden Dachs Ursula Andress winning group placings and best of breed. In the Minature long breed classes Katerinapark Charodey showed like the professional he is. we are looking forward to seeing his offspring very soon at the kennel. Congratulations to both dogs and many thanks as always to our handler Hristina Kostadinova.

We are delighted to see Todd – From Eversden Dachs Heart of Gold start his show career in the UK with such success. In his first show he won his postgraduate class and was reserve in Open. he has also qualified for Crufts at his first championship show.

We attended this first ever show, hosted in the shopping mall of Plovdiv Plaza and attended by over 40K families, over the weekend.

The dogs did not disappoint with many best in show podium wins in many categories. It was for small breed and toy dogs. Suzy won Reserve Best in Show on day one and her brother Jacky winning Best in Show III on the final day.

The kennel had a super show at this specialty winning a good number of the prizes on offer. It was great to have owners attend with their dogs and to see how they have developed into adult dogs. We certainly have a reputation of obtaining the BOB wins.

This show is always one the kennel looks forward to as it is very well attended and very well organised. The dogs did a great job and didn’t disappoint. A credit to us all.

This was a difficult show due to the extreme high temperatures on the day but the kennel did us proud once again. With good competition in all classes we won BIS podium places in the main ring.

It’s wonderful to have some of our owners come along to the shows to give their dogs exposure to the Bulgarian Federation and was a very proud moment when the President of the federation complimented us on the quality of our dachshunds in all breeds shown. At this show we had Standard smooth, miniature smooth, kaninchen smooth. Miniature long hair and kaninchen longhair.

During the month of September we have visited and competed in 5 Countries in 14 International Competitions. From Eversden Dachs Uther Pendragon (Ralph) and From Eversden Dachs Taron Everton ( Merlin) handled by our very own Hrisi, represented the Kennel Coots at Eversden in the most fantastic way possible.

We couldn’t be more proud. Both Ralph and Merlin won 14 Champion Titles from 14 Competitions. They have also both qualified for Crufts multiple times 2024.

A good result at a local show with many breeds present… we continue to be one of the most successful show kennels in the Balkans and most recognised for Dachshunds.

The team did a great job at Ploiesti. All the dogs became Champions despite some very good competition. We enjoyed favourable remarks from prestigious judges including Tomas Jakkel who is also a dachshund breeder President of the FCI.
