We’ve had such a fantastic experience with Coots at Eversden and couldn’t be happier with our little Yuumi! She came to us at 4.5 months old and was already so clever, knowing to wee outside and so many commands. She’s incredibly smart, has fantastic conformation and is such a loving little girl. We’ve had no health problems at all, and it’s clear she’s been well cared for.

A massive thank you to Kate, the whole team for being so lovely and helpful throughout the process. We had weekly updates and they were always available for any question at all. When we had an unexpected family emergency and couldn’t collect Yuumi as planned, Kate went out of her way to arrange for her to stay at a trusted boarder even though she had already made it to the UK. It took so much stress off us at a difficult time, and we really appreciated the kindness and understanding.

Our other dachshund is from a different breeder, so I’m genuinely glad I took the time to research and find an ethical breeder like Coots for Yuumi. The care, support and communication have made the whole experience so positive, and we couldn’t be more in love with our girl. Kate and the team at Coots are second to none! We now have 2 Dachshunds Frankie & Honey) from Coots and they ar the best thing we’ve done. It doesn’t just stop at purchasing them they train all of their pups and are there for none stop support throughout purchasing and after. We feel incredibly lucky to have our beautiful miniature smooth dachshund from Coots at Eversden. Now two and a half years old, she has been an absolute joy from the very beginning. We collected her at seven months old, after she had completed her training, a decision that suited our family perfectly.

From day one, she settled straight in as if she had always been with us. She was already fully house trained and walked beautifully on the lead with a collar. From the very beginning she was a pleasure to take out to pubs and cafes with us. What truly stands out is her temperament: she is gentle, well-mannered, and completely non-reactive. We’re often stopped on walks by people asking how we’ve managed to achieve such a calm and well-behaved dog, but the credit truly belongs to the incredible work done by the Coots team.

Coots at Eversden are everything you could hope for in a breeder. Their professionalism is second to none, and it’s clear they have a genuine passion and deep understanding of the breed. They raise their puppies to exceptional standards, with a real focus on health, conformation, and, most importantly, temperament. It’s equally evident how much they truly care about the lifelong wellbeing of their dogs.

What makes them even more special is that their support doesn’t end when you bring your puppy home. Through a litter WhatsApp group, they continue to offer guidance and advice, and it’s been so lovely staying connected with our girl’s sisters, we’ve even enjoyed meeting up for days out together.

We can't recommend this breeder enough! From the very first questions we had to the day our girl finally came home, they gave us complete confidence every step of the way. They were incredibly responsive and patient, always taking the time to answer our questions no matter how small.
What really stood out was how consistent they were in sending us videos of our girl growing up alongside her littermates — it meant so much to watch her personality develop before we even met her. The whole process of bringing my girl home was organised perfectly, with clear communication throughout.

Coots Eversden helped me welcome two little kaninchen shorthaired black and tan girls into my home. Despite never having owned a dog before myself, Coots Eversden provided a wealth of information about dachshund care and provided regular updates on my girls as they grew up and were trained. The girls and I have a lot to learn about each other - things that can only be learned through experience - but the Coots team has trained the dogs so well that they are so friendly and easy to handle, ensuring that our adventures in the early days go smoothly. Coots has remained in contact with me after I received the puppies to ensure that everything is working out and to guide the owner-dog relationship in the right direction. I can’t say enough good things about Kate, Liz, and the rest of the Coots team! Our boy Ollie is the perfect addition to our family 🩶

From the photos and information before we got him, to the training session with Liz that eased so many of our first time puppy owner worries, all the communication has been absolutely exceptional.
