We had tried several different training programmes, both in person and online, but nothing seemed to help our dachshund Daisy with her separation anxiety. With a new baby on the way, we knew we had to find a solution and were honestly worried about how things would be once the baby arrived.
It took a few sessions with Liz, but we got there in the end. She helped us understand what was really causing Daisy’s anxiety and showed us how to build her confidence step by step.

What surprised us most was realising that some of the things we were doing were actually making Daisy more anxious. Once Liz explained it properly, it all made sense and we learned how to help Daisy feel safe and secure.

Now Daisy doesn’t cry every time we leave the room and can even cope when we leave the house for short periods. We’re so grateful for the help and feel much more confident about the future.

Elmo’s story We got in touch with Liz when our 10-month-old dachshund suddenly started being quite aggressive towards other dogs on walks, which was really worrying for us.

Liz explained really clearly why the behaviour had started and gave us some simple, practical steps to follow. Once she explained it all, it actually seemed so obvious!
After just two sessions we feel back in control on walks again and things are so much calmer. It’s also great to know we can always book another session if we need help in the future. Highly recommend!

If you’re looking for a dachshund and stumble on Coots at Eversden, this is the greatest thing that could happen to you. We’ve had our baby for more than a week now, but it feels like she’s been with us since forever. She’s such a loving dog, needy (as every other doxie), funny and full of life and joy. Getting her at almost 4 months old was also a very good decision as she came well-behaved, with a good temperament and almost potty trained. Marina is a dedicated breeder, who’s doing this out of love for this breed and dogs in general — you can tell this from the first interactions with her. She and Kate offer support since the beginning of the journey of getting your puppy and even after, when all sort of questions arise. We’re more than happy with the choice we made and we recommend Coots for everyone looking for a happy, beautiful and healthy dachshund! 🥰

Raya has been with us now for one year now, she has been a treasure and brought us much joy and amazement at her character and good behaviour.
She settled in well especially with our 7-year-old Irish Setter. The six months of her life spent with Marina before coming to us were well worthwhile: our lives were not disrupted by ‘puppy night calls etc etc’, she is very obedient and loving.
We are continually amazed at how strong physically she is and she lives up to the breed reputation of hunting, not for badgers thank goodness, but unsuspecting mice and voles; her patience in waiting near underground rustling is something to be seen.

Simi joined us almost a week ago, after a long journey from Bulgaria, and she has transformed our lives,
We had expected her to be nervous, but the opposite has been the case.
She has been a complete delight, so gentle, trusting, funny with a cheeky,fun side to her personality, which we love.
She had her first visit to a cafe and the beach today, and she has been perfect, sitting quietly on her ‘settle’ mat, whist we had lunch.
We are lucky enough to live in Norfolk, with those huge open skies and almost deserted beaches, and she loved it.
Lastly, thank you to Marina in Bulgaria, and to Kate in the UK, who has been frequently checking in to see how Simi is doing.

On Friday, 6 February 2026, we had the profound privilege of welcoming Xavi “home” from Bulgaria to Northern Ireland.

Despite his considerable success within the show arena, Marina possessed the insight and sensitivity to recognise that Xavi’s deepest fulfilment lay not in accolades, but in the quieter, enduring comforts of family life — warmth, companionship, security, and belonging.

Accordingly, the process of identifying his future home was undertaken with exceptional diligence and integrity. It was rigorous without ever becoming intrusive, discerning without being judgemental, and always governed by a single, unwavering principle: that Xavi’s welfare must remain paramount.

From the earliest conversations, conducted via telephone and video, through to the careful provision of guidance, reassurance, and practical support, every interaction reflected professionalism of the highest order. No request was treated as insignificant; no concern was dismissed. At every stage, there was a clear commitment to ensuring that this transition was not merely successful, but exemplary.

Coots coordinated Xavi’s journey with remarkable precision, arranging his travel from Bulgaria to Bucharest and onward to Dublin, where he was personally accompanied by the outstanding Liz. Throughout the extended journey, she provided regular, thoughtful updates, offering continual reassurance and demonstrating a level of care that went far beyond obligation.

Our reception at Dublin Airport was both warm and impeccably organised. All documentation, provisions, and arrangements had been prepared with meticulous attention to detail, enabling a seamless and stress-free transition.

Xavi is now fully settled within our home. He shares his bed with his Chihuahua companion, delights in an abundance of toys, and spends his evenings contentedly by the fire — a life of comfort, stability, and affection.

This experience was never a commercial transaction. It was, instead, a profoundly humane and emotionally intelligent process, rooted in an owner’s ethical responsibility to act in accordance with both knowledge and compassion. It stands as a testament to what responsible, principled breeding and placement should represent.

We extend our sincere and enduring gratitude to Marina, Liz, and Coots at Eversden for their exemplary professionalism, integrity, and humanity.
