So off we went again today for another progesterone test to see if Slink was ready for her TCI procedure. Blood results showed a huge increase in progesterone which is awesome and our experts at Elite Kennel Fertily have recommended her procedure to take place on Sunday.
So why TCI?
Slinky will be receiving semen from our amazing Stud Blue, which has been frozen and stored at Elite!
Frozen Transcervical Inseminations ensure that the semen has less distance to travel to the females eggs which increases the rate of conception. It allows a more direct route for the semen – in layman’s terms we put it right where it needs to be!
We have never done this before at Coots so this is exciting and we are learning everyday! We look forward to sharing the journey with you all.
