I chose Coots at Eversden because I was looking for a kennel that had top quality dogs but also offered to keep them until they were around six months old, as this was what we wanted. Coots then put them through a training regimen, meaning when your dog arrives with you they are well socialised, having spent a lot of time with their siblings and been offered a variety of experiences.
Right from day one Kate kept us well informed about litters and helped to match us with the right dog, so from the morning she text me to say there is a Black and Tan boy available are you interested… it was a resounding YES. Kate is always available to answer questions, which she does without delay, I’m sure we drove her mad at times but she didn’t let it show 🙈.
I was initially a little bit concerned about the fact that he was born at the breeding kennel in Bulgaria as it was such a long way away BUT I had no need to worry. The Kennel there is absolutely beautiful with so much green space for the dogs to thrive in. Marina and her husband Andy are in charge of the facility there and I am totally in awe of the way they care for the dogs. We were given weekly video updates of his progress and it just shines through at every stage how much Marina loves the dogs and they love her.
I was also impressed by the way Coots care for their older dogs in that they don’t keep breeding from them but allow them to find their forever homes when the time is right. They always put the welfare of the dogs first.
Well today we finally brought our little Alfie home and for us he is an absolute dream come true. Already I can tell that getting an infant dog, as opposed to a younger puppy was the right thing for us. Thank you Kate, Marina and Andy for our beautiful boy… he is amazing.
