We first discovered Coots at Eversden in 2020 when we welcomed our beautiful shaded red miniature dachshund, Rolo, into our home. From day one, we were blown away by the love, care, and dedication that radiates from this amazing family-run kennel. It was clear that Rolo came from a place where puppies are truly cherished and thoughtfully raised — not just physically nurtured, but emotionally supported and well-socialised.

Fast forward to 2025, we’ve found ourselves returning to Coots at Eversden without hesitation — this time to welcome Remy (previously Hector), a sweet 3.5-year-old dachshund who was born in 2021 and was now ready for a new chapter. Introducing an older dog to our home could have been a challenge, but thanks to the incredible early care and gentle nature Marina and Kate instills in their dogs, it was an absolute breeze. Within minutes of meeting, Rolo and Remy were already relaxed and content in each other’s company, as if they’d been together all along.

The transition was seamless, and we have no doubt it’s because of the amazing nurturing and family-focused environment Coots at Eversden provides. They don’t just breed dogs, they raise companions with heart, character, and confidence.

Marina and Kate have become more than a breeder to us, they are trusted advisors and a complete support system. Their continued kindness, and dedication to their dogs (and the families they go to) is rare and priceless.

If you’re looking for a dachshund raised with integrity, love, and a whole lot of heart, look no further. Coots at Eversden is simply outstanding.
